About Me
Justin Gunawan started studying architecture as a way to explore possibilities, and inspirations that may come from various disciplines. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Academy of Art University. There his views of architecture changes from one that is driven by form and functionality, into a tool to better community.
This belief is translated into his interest and work towards sustainability. In his thesis project he redefines the idea of sustainability through the introduction of naturally benefitting program such as an apiary, whereas his design for skyscraper exposes these sustainable technique through carves
that serves as a gathering, and learning point for the public. His design is one that explores techniques that bridges the natural and built environment with a mission to create a better future.
